SIA Award Entry Process
Entries are invited for the inaugural Sourcing Industry Awards to be presented in 2010. Nominations will be accepted beginning on 29th March 2010 and closing on 14th May 2010.
SIA Nomination Form

A panel of independent judges will review submissions and determine finalists and ultimate category winners. The finalists will be notified in writing by 28th May 2010 and will be listed on the SIA awards section of the TPI Web site. Winners will be presented their awards at the TPI annual dinner that will take place at The Establishment Restaurant, Sydney, on Tuesday 8th June 2010.

Best Young
Sourcing Talent


This award recognises a young sourcing professional who has demonstrated achievements in sourcing that are significant and beyond what is normally expected from a sourcing professional of his/her age and experience. This award is open to those aged 35 and under and are currently working with TPI clients.

Entries should demonstrate:
  • Impact that the individual has had on the organisation
  • Innovative thinking in approach
  • Wider contribution to team
  • Further potential to excel in sourcing practice
Entries may be submitted by an organisation or an individual on behalf of themselves or another person, with their prior permission.
Best Sourcing
Relationship


This award recognises mutually impactful sourcing relationships. Entries should demonstrate:
  • Collaborative/constructive relationships
  • Alignment of mutual objectives versus competing objectives
  • A "one team" culture
  • Impact on:
    • Commercial results of the client
    • Operational efficiencies for the parties
  • Exceeding performance benchmarks initially set by the parties
  • Efficient cost to serve, providing clients value and service provider profitability
Service Provider
Excellence


This award recognizes outstanding achievement and service excellence by a service provider. Entries should demonstrate and quantify these service provider attributes:
  • Achievement of client's commercial and performance objectives
  • Service leadership through the introduction of new and/or innovative service approaches
  • Successful relationship management through varying commercial economic conditions
  • Exemplar of the sourcing industry

Conditions of Entry
The 2010 Sourcing Industry Awards are open to qualifying organisations in Australia and New Zealand. To be considered for the 2010 Sourcing Industry Awards, entries must meet the following requirements:

  1. Organisations and individuals may nominate themselves
  2. All sections of the nomination form must be completed for the category or categories for which the applicant seeks nomination
  3. There is no limit to the number of categories for which applicants may seek nomination
  4. Each nominator must answer all questions on the nomination form
  5. Two references must be provided on the nomination form, both of whom sponsor the nomination and can validate the nomination should the nominee be considered a finalist for an award.
  6. Nomination(s) must be submitted by Friday, 14th May to be considered by the judging panel.

How to Enter

  1. Go to the nomination form, by clicking here.
  2. Complete all sections of the nomination form by providing all information requested.
  3. Where a word limit has been stipulated for a response, you must ensure that your response is within this limit.
  4. Submit your completed nomination by clicking the 'Submit' button.
  5. Nominations must be submitted by no later than close of business on Friday, 14th May 2010.

Judging
Judges will mark each entry against the set of judging criteria specified on the entry form. Up to three nominees in each category will be considered as finalists for each award. Judges will conduct interviews with finalist nominees and their references specified in the entry form to determine a winner in each category. Should the judges agree that the calibre of the entries is below standard for a category, a winner may not be chosen for that category.
